New / Missing Airport Suggestion Form

You can use this form to suggest a new ("missing") airport to the PilotNav airport database. Every issue that you suggest will be reviewed by our editorial staff and updates will be published to the PilotNav system and to systems which use it, such as the Safelog pilot logbook airport database periodically. We sincerely thank you for taking the time to help us improve PilotNav with your suggestions. In order to best help our editorial team evaluate each suggestion, we ask (require) that each suggestion here be accompanied by a short note telling us what you suggest and why. You are welcome to put your name and/or email address with your suggestion, but this is not required; if you do so, our editorial staff may get back to you for further clarification if necessary.

• Please thoroughly search through the PilotNav database to make sure that the airport that you are looking for is not already in the database. Well over half of the 'new' airport suggestions that we get are for airports that actually are already in the database! Please use creativity in searching for an airport before suggesting it as "new" here. For example, if an airport has a relatively new ICAO code, it is not impossible that this code is not yet in our database. Therefore, if you search only by this new ICAO code, you might not find the airport. However, if you search by the airport name, you might find the airport record. You can then "suggest" the updated ICAO code using the suggestion mechanism for that airport record. This is far better for all involved! Likewise, you might want to search under 'old' airport code(s) if you know it.
• Sometimes, airports that have particularly unique circumstances (such as Basel-Mulhouse) will be listed in one country but not the other.
• This suggestion tool is for new/missing AIRPORTS ONLY. Please do not submit requests for NAVAIDs, waypoints, etc. here.
• Please verify any changes you are suggesting with official sources. Please do not submit any suggestions unless you are quite sure that the information you are submitting is correct and have taken the time to verify this with a trustworthy source.
• Please take the time to fill in as much of the form below as you can. It is particularly important that you fill in Latitude and Longitude. If you don't have an altitude value, use a reasonable approximate value if you have one, but leave altitude blank otherwise.
• If you're submitting a US or Canadian airport in particular and think that that airport has an ICAO code, please take special effort to verify the existence and correctness of that ICAO code via an official source. We routinely get incorrect suggestions which ask us to, for example, add bogus ICAO code "KQ12" based on some FAA airport code "Q12". As a general rule, if your FAA, Transport Canada, IATA, or any other 'local' airport identifier contains a number, then that airport is unlikely to have an official ICAO code at all, and if it does, the ICAO code is likely to be something completely different. Even if your "local" airport code contains all letters, please do not assume that there is an ICAO code for it that is based on this code (example: Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico has the FAA and IATA code "SJU" but the ICAO code is "TJSJ.") .
• If you want to suggest multiple new airports, PLEASE FILL OUT A SEPARATE FORM FOR EACH NEW AIRPORT.
